Default Front brakes in the sun

So I've been noticing as I leave my bike out in a lot for a while, when its sunny out my brakes will be extremely touchy. Occasionally they'll be so tight the brake is actually engaged slightly without even touching the brake lever. Has this ever happened to anyone? Is it an indication I have air in my line?

When it cools off it goes back to engaging the brake after about a 15% pull on the lever.

normal operating temp for the brakes is MUCH higher than how hot the sun can get them; unless it has something to do with the master cylinder. Try covering the MC and see if you have the same condition

Got the master covered with a rag right now, we'll see how she does when I leave work. It's 92 and sunny...

When was the fluid last changed? You either have air or more likely you have moisture in the system.

I bought it last July, so I'm not sure when it was changed last. Probably should do it regardless.

Last July? That was a year ago! You should have done it the day you bought it.

Put a Sweat wrist band over your reservoir. They come in all kinds of colors, are cheap, and work great to wipe your visor on the fly.

Brake pads will always rest against rotors, even when not using the brakes.

Brakes will work better when warm, so they'res probably nothing wrong - you're just used to cold brakes when first starting up the motorcycle.
