They are FRAME sliders, not FAIRING sliders...you will most likely have damage to the plastic no matter how you crash. Frame sliders are a great add on and i had them on 2 days after i got my bike. They helped in my crash...when i say that, they saved the frame, once that frame is compromised, its a parts bike, cause you cant fix that...i say do it...get them (Vortex Sliders)...you will love it...just try not to use them, lol
