frame sliders
always get delrin sliders, and I mean ALWAYS
delrin sliders are made to slide along the pavement and grind down, metal ones will catch on the pavement and are more likely to rip off which can cause a lot of damage to the frame
long sliders are also a bad idea, they also are a lot more likely to break off and have caused bikes to "bounce" while sliding
honestly if you crash on the left side, your stator cover will most likely get damaged, I'd suggest replacing it with a hard cover such as NRC when that happens. If you crash on the right side chances are your exhaust is going to get rashed, that may or may not require replacement depending on the crash
yes, sometimes even short delrin sliders will bend or break, it sucks but 9 times out of 10 they will save a lot more than they will damage
I've crash tested my vortex sliders 3 times and wouldn't consider anything else

yea ill probably end up getting some then, im not super concerned about te plastic im more concerned with mechanical problems, i know scratchng plastic and exhaust is sometimes unavoidable if u fall and i hope i dont fall but would like to get them just incase cause u never know whats gonna happen

yeah, exhaust is usually won't cause any problems, but if you fall on the left side at around 20mph+ you'll most likely have to replace the stator cover (if you do happen to ever crash on the left side, don't ride the bike if the stator cover is ground down and you see oil leaking)
a lot of people try to replace it with an oem, which (big surprise) will just break again the next time and actually probably cost more than a better aftermarket one
also, a good racer trick to crash proof a bike is to drill a small hole in your brake/clutch levers about 1" from the ball so that if you drop the bike the lever will break off at that point rather than bend
hopefully you'll never acutally need any of this information

Who sells them for less than OEM?

there is a chance I'm way off on that, its been a year and a half since I've priced NRC and I've never priced a oem
but still stock covers won't last one crash, my NRC has been through 3 (yes all 3 of my crashes were on the left side lol) and its still goign strong
my OG stator lasted 1...sooo lucky! it weaped oil but i just retorqued and it hasn't leaked in about 32K now! i still have another OEM sitting...hopefully will never have to use it...
then covers are dope though...i think the engine casing would crack before those badboys do!
woody...you need to post up your kartwheel animated gif in the other forum...that was DOOOOOPPPPPEEEEEEEEE!
