Found exhaust leak, bike still burping/farting/sputtering
Found a leak at the header/midpipe hookup so I sealed that up.Checked where the midpipe hooks up to the muffler and nothing. Didn't feel anything by the headers either. I actually get a backfire sometimes if the bike isn't warmed and I come down from 8k RPM after taking off. Is this the EVAP crap on the bike? I remember blocking off reed valves on my cruiser and it cured the problem.
Perhaps something else?
I have a Yosi RS-3 s/s exhaust system, stock headers. Thanks for any help.

Does your 2006 has an o2 sensor (mine does), maybe that has something to do with the backfire (lean condition?)

IS normal..Esp without a PCIII to help remove the extra fuel in the curve.
Second why would you take your bike to 8 BEFORE It was warmed up..(once if gets warm the fuel map changes slightly).
You can remove the PAIR setup, but it doesnt hurt performance and will only lessen the noise from the exhaust not make it go completely away.Air coming in around the o2 sill throw off the ecu some ,so that could help but only a little.
