When i bought my bike with 3k miles it ran perfect. Probablyabout 8-10months later it started to sound different upon start-up, i guess i'd call it sputtering, but it quickly went away and ran great once warm.

2 months ago i put on a Bootleg 10" Shorty Pipe and it seemed to do it a little bit worse. Now since then it seems to be getting worse.

I still ride everyday, but it seems to have a few hiccups/flat spotsat certain rpm's, idles lower, and often smells like fuel. Also when i start the warm/hot engine, the engine won't immediately rev up. The rpm's definitley will climb way slower than they should.

I just ordered a PC3 USB on ebay hoping this will help, but is there anything else that may be causing this??? Any help appreciated. BTW it now has 11k miles. Thanks

Thanks, that does sound like my problem. Too bad I ordered that PC3 right before I read that post [:@]. Oh well it'll probly be better with it anyway.

Well I just ordered the regulator now because it really sounds like it is the problem.Since it was acting up in a very minor way even with the stock pipe and just continues to get worse.I'll hopefully have a chance to swap out the part this weekend and post my results.

Yep. It was the FPR. Runs great now. Cost about $69 at the dealer and was cake to install. Thanks for the help!
