Flushing the Radiator

RE: Flushing the Radiator
I'm about to do the same thing with my F4.
Waiting for my paddle stand to arrive, as I'm replacing the clutch cable and doing a few other maintance bits... may as well strip her down in the driveway.
I tested my fluid and it had a low freezing point - as the shed isn't heated I need to remedy that. Instead of topping up (and starting from an unknown) I'm going to replace with fresh. I've been saving the water from the dehumifier to flush with... it's pretty pure. I hope it will also help the bike run cooler as even in the fog the temp gauge came up while moving...
I read the manual on what type of radiator fluid to use... I'll be looking to buy some soon. If it's not overly expensive I might just buy the stuff at the dealership.
BTW - when you have the plastics off it's never a bad idea to hose down the radiator and clean the crud out of it - that will improve it's cooling ability.

yea and when you're finally topping off and done with the flushing, refill on the sidestand. makes the radiator cap the highest point of the system, making it better to let out all air bubbles.
