Default Flushing coolant

Is this something that I would need to do soon? I've got about 7500 miles on a 05. I'm going to be changing out my air filter very soon. Should I do at the same time and if so what's the best to use? I live in AZ so it's HOT if that matters on choice!

Thanks.

You shouldn't need to replace the coolant so soon. However, if you want to do so, it really isn't that hard to do. It's about as difficult as changing the oil.

Do you have a copy of the service manual? If not, do you want one? It shows you how, and what to use for coolant.

The owner's manual describes the times for these changes and the air filter is around 12K miles depending on riding area and the coolant is somewhere in the midteens, again depending on area.

Great info, thanks guys. My buddy does have the service manual so I'll take a look at his. Nice to know we don't have to do much to our bikes which in turn give us more ride time!
