First Night ride, and boy are my headlights screwy!
So ive got about 8 days left with my bike, and I need to burn threw this tank of gas, which leads me to ride to work for the 2nd shift. Never rode her at night before, but Im sure somethings wrong with the headlight alignment.
My low-beam is all but worthless. It shines about 4 feet off the bike into the ground. My high beam is not much better. Needless to say it made tonights ride intereasting.
First What is a good pattern for the headlights, second I am asuming The adjustment is the hole in the black plastic behind the headlights in the front fairing? First Bike and really no idea what I am doing.
Thanks

One way to do it is to shine the headlight at a wall, from about 5 feet away (turned on). This lets you see your adjustments. The light beam should be about 1/2 to 1 foot lower than the height of the headlight, imo. Here's the adjusting screws:
BTW, this isn't my headlight assembly.
