I am a noob as most of my posts show, but just trying to find some options for my bike. It has the 954 fork swap on it (so I'm told) and it came with a bar end mirror on the left. It also came with the other mirror for the right, but I am unsure as how to mount it since my throttle goes all the way to the bar end and covers it. What other options do I have? Or how could I mount that one to my right side?

 

loosen up the throttle housing and slide it inward a little bit. just make sure the throttle isnt touching the bar end or you might accidentally have cruise control when you dont want it.

 

My throttle wraps around the end of the bars though. Hard to tell from the picture but the grip doesn't have any bar that sticks through at all.



Should I cut the grip and then slide it in some?

 

i have another option you might think about instead of cutting. upgrade your front master to a cbr 600 rr or 1krr front master. it will give you some play room to slide the throttle housing and such in or you are going to have to cut te throttle tube and grip to make it work.

i might have an 05 cbr 1k front master, but im at ft benning for a few days and wont be ableto check until sat.

 

How hard is the upgrade?
