Exclamation Fi light Problem on Cbr 600 F4i 2002

Was riding my bike the other day in 3rd gear when I saw the Fi light slowly creeping onto the gauge cluster the longer i rode. Eventually the light came fully on and the rpms dropped fully and the bike seemed to shut off then it sprung back on, rpms rose quickly and rode for 5 seconds normally and the same thing kept happening with it turning off and on. When I would upshift or downshift the light would briefly go away. Eventually the bike shut off completely and would not start. I pushed it all the way back to my parking spot and let it sit for about 2 hours then I went over to check on the bike again and it started right up with only a little stutter. Been riding it around the parking lot a lot and the Fi light seems to be staying off. Friend thinks this could be a problem with the fuel since i am running 87. My kickstand is also a little bent outwards toward the shifter on the left so i wonder if it could have something to do with this. I just recently charged the battery for the bike and it seems to have no problem turning on. Any help anyone can offer would be much appreciated. If you need more information about specifics feel free to ask.

Edit: just rode yesterday on the highway for 5 minutes in 2/3 gear with no problems any idea what could have caused this problem?
