Question FI light is coming on?

My FI light has come on a couple of times. It will stay on for a while and then if I shut the bike down and restart it the light doesn't come on again. It has happened a couple of times. The only thing I notice when it comes on is the idel speed is low and it might hesitate a bit shifting from 1st to 2nd. Does anyone know how to diagnose the problem or what I need to check and in what order? If you have pics of what to look for that would be a big help.

Thanks

You need to count the FI light flashes when you start the bike, then look at the manual to determine what the code means...then go from there...with out telling us the codes there is no way to tell what the problem is...good luck

you can dig thru the error codes yourself by jumping the 2 pins that are attached to the ECU. it's basically a plug that plugs into nothing. grab some speaker wire or something and jam it in there...

almost the exact same thing happened to me. i did the paper-clip/service connector jump and got my code. the connector that is hanging off the ecu that isn't plugged into anything...just connect those wires with a paper-clip/speaker wire/whatever and turn the bike on. immediate flashes/code. before that the fi light would just pop on at random and sometimes would stay off for days...
