Default FI Light

I have an 03 CBR 600 F4I, She feels like she is bogging out. She has new gas lines, Oil change, after market timing chain tensioner. My FI light kept coming on, I changed spark plugs. It quit but still felt like she was bogging out. I was riding on the high way my FI light came on and I lost all throttle. Just curious if anyone has had any issues like this!

Jump the diagnostic connector and retrieve the stored codes. It will tell you, and us, where to start looking.

I tried looking for the connector last night but not sure where it’s located at. I know it’s under the seat but I couldn’t find it.

I found it, I ran my codes. I think I got her fixed. No bogging, no FI light at this moment. So FINGERS crossed she is fixed. Thanks for the help.

Cool! I'm interested in knowing what the codes revealed...

codes 1,8,9, a buddy of mine told me to got through all my wiring and connectors clean them and put delicate grease in all the connectors. I did. I tightened my timing chain tensioner bc it was about to fall out. Checked all my hoses to make sure their was none pinched, bent, or frayed.

Yikes, definitely glad you caught that!

Thanks for the update! I've been fortunate to have no electrical issues... yet. Not looking forward to it when it happens so I'm trying to gain preventative knowledge!

Well the FI light is back on. Losing all throttle and it completely dying on me. I am hoping it’s just a bad fuel filter. I was told that my ECU could need reprogrammed.
