Default FI light?

What exactly does the FI light mean?

I was riding to work this morning; started up a hill and the FI light lit up and the bike lost power for about 1/2 a second. Light went out and bike continued to ride as if nothing happened.

Wanna help me out... I'm getting the following:
  1. The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : fi
Then a list of every thread that has the word "light" in the title.

Okay... Better question; could a shortage of fuel cause this? My researve light was on with all 4 bars flashing when I started up the hill.

solid, or did it blink? If it's not an issue anymore, don't worry about it. 2 blinks which is VERY common is your MAP sensor, or loose vacuum hose/s. Sounds like it just ran out of gas delivery for a sec.

It just flashed once, then went right back off as soon as the bike picked power back up... I also checked the battery today and PO had one of the wires on the ground side stuck there with electrical tape.... Ugh.

Seems to be fixed now...

Put ~160 miles on her today... not a single issue. I'm going to guess it had something to do with either:

a) No gas...
b) Battery terminals losing contact...
