For oil, I think I'm going to go with Rotella T5 10W-40. I have read a lot of good things about Rotella on this forum.

I'm probably going to buy:
Amazon.com: Shell Rotella 550019907 10W-40 T5 Motor Oil - 1 Gallon, (Pack of 3): Automotive Amazon.com: Shell Rotella 550019907 10W-40 T5 Motor Oil - 1 Gallon, (Pack of 3): Automotive

This oil will work great with this bike, right? I was trying to find what the OEM oil is but I don't have the manual so I'm not completely sure.

Going with the OEM filter, might try K&N in the future, but not this time.

That rotella is the synthetic blend version. Check the price at walmart, I think it's cheaper than $20/ea there.

The guy I bought the bike from isn't sure if he used synthetic or regular oil.

If he used regular and I put in synthetic, is it going to cause problems? I thought I would play it safe with T5 because it's a blend.

10W 40 is the correct type right? I'm still trying to understand what those numbers means.
