I say just go and get a Craftsman tool set from sears the kit i bought was 70 bills and had to pick up the Metric Hex Key set its had every tool ive needed to work on my bike so far as for tools to carry on the bike u need the spark plug wrench the hex key for the body plastic and a Phillips head screw driver and take a small square of canvis with a shoe string and rap the tools up tie it together and put it in your trunk of your bike

I don't carry a tool kit (probably stupid), andmy bikedidn't come with one either, but I did go out and by metric tools as I only had S.A.E. I actually bought cheap stuff at a store called "Big Lots". I was able to get all the basics for (drum roll please)$30.00. It is a discount store...probably stock the shelves with discontinued items. Then, at work, I won a $100 gift certificate for Sears and bought a torque wrech, some 1/2" drive sockets for the axles and pinch bolts, and a 1/2" drive ratchet.
