And thankfully it isnt up to you, a250 is very much a sportbike and more bike thna 99% of us can take to its limits.
I'd care why? 1) I dont ride like a moron around traffic or areas filled with blind corners like a mountain. 2) Smaller cc bikes corner better than larger bikes? SHOCKER!

Not arguing anything. You were trying to make a point about getting passed by a 250 in a situation where every advantage a bigger bike has over a smaller one is nullified.

How many manufacturers offer a 250 sport?

Think 2 if you count overseas. I believe Honda still sells a 250cc sport in Japan (not sure).

They do sell a 125cc in the UK

As far as the bigger bike's advantages being nullified in the turns which situation costs more riders their bikes / health / lives:
  1. Straight line speed
  2. Turns and corners

I have an idiot coworker with a 636 wanting to race me cause he's been up to 150 mph. But he can't corner because (his words) he's "afraid to lean" I can lose him in 6 turns on city streets doing the speed limit

Default F4i vs. 250r

I was wondering about this very thing... I learned on a 500cc buell blast and i am thinking that the downgrade from a 500cc to a 250cc is just to big of a jump... I am about 5' 10" and weigh about 145 lbs. I havent had much experience on a bike so far... probably 10 hours total and am looking to get my liscence soon, but i was wondering what type of bike i should get??? What do you guys think?? 2001-03 CBR F4i maybe??

you have to keep in mind a 500cc vtwin is nothing like a I4 n vice versa. Vtwins usually have more torque. Think how its goes is it takes a 850cc vtwin to equal a 600cc I4.

And you dont have many hours at all. I would recommend a 250, or the 500cc Blast you mentioned. If you just have to have a 600 then a F4i would be than a RR or its sisters of other makes.

I say keep the buell and continue learning on it. Its better to learn on a smaller bike. You will be a better rider for it

I would suggest at least 10k miles. It helps to practice in empty parking lots too. The more time you put in the quicker you will learn n be able to move up
