I replaced the CCT last night and took the bike out for a ride. Everything was perfect. no more rattle, no more noise, pulls like a beast after the -1/+1, front comes up easy. NO ISSUES. PARK IT.

GO TO SLEEP.

WAKE UP.

Start it.. everything is fine...start working (i walk dogs and use my bike as transportation for work sometimes)

I go to 2 houses and then as I'm going to the 3rd I down shift and start to pass a guy.. bike bogs down like crazy at 10k~ ish and surges. I pull over to make sure that I repluged in the sensor that I had to unplug while workin on the CCT. No problemm its plugged in. I get back on the bike and start rollin down the street. I pull in the clutch to coast a lil and the bikes rpms just plumet and it stalls out. (the bike is on reserve at this point) hmm maybe the fuel gauge is off or something.. go put in 5$ worth of gas and prime the fuel pump a few times. Bike starts right up.. but same problem.. while Im riding it starts surging randomly.. if I pull in the clutch it starts to stall .. but only sometimes.. I can keep it running if I start to rev it when the rpms start dropping.

so I finish work.. get home and park it.

Now.. to me it sounds like some kind of fueling thing.. but I dont really know. I DID have to take off the gas tank bolts and move it over to get to the CCT but I didn't have to disconnect any fuel lines or any lines at all. I'm going out now to lift the tank and see if a line is pinched or something weird like that.. but if not.. I have no idea what is wrong.

any ideas?

 

my bet is you either pinched a hose, or disconnected one and didnt know it.I wouldnt think it would have anything to do with the actual cct.

long shot, but maybe you stirred up some crap in the bottom of the tank and clogged the fuel filter.

 

ould check ur plugs to that hyappened to my 2005

Is it running rich, smell of burning fuel from the exhaust?

 

it magically fixed itself after i disconnected and reconnected the tank

 

problem appeared again after a long day of HARD riding with no problems.

it is less frequent now.. between 4-6 the bike cant hold rpms.. it surges randomly.. sometimes when I gun it, it seems to cut fuel completely. This also seems to happen more when my tank is more near empty... I'm thinking possibly that my fuel gauge is off. and that im actually REALLY low on gas but its telling me the reserve just started?
