F4i hesitation while revving
I have a 2002 F4i with 4,000KM on the clock. I noticed a few days ago while I was revving the bike in neutral that it would hesitate around 5-6K rpm. Its not consistant either it will only do it sometimes, and its only while in neutral...doesnt happen while im riding. I notice it happens when I rev it upto say8k....than as the revs come down I crack the throttle again to rev it up and asit hits the 5k mark it studders a little. As i said it doesnt always do it. I always use 91 octane fuel. I havent yet checked the air filter so Im not sure of the condition of it.
What do you guys think?

RE: F4i hesitation while revving
yeah i have noticed this too with mine while downshifting has slight hesitationmines around 3-4000 though, but like you said it does not happen under power just when i pull the clutch and rev match, now i have a power commander and a yosh pipe so i just figured it was due to lowered back pressure. but i dont think its really anything to worry about

RE: F4i hesitation while revving
I pulled the air filter out today and it was nice and clean, no need to be replaced it looked like brand new. So I guess that eliminates that.
Im going to run some sea foam in the gas and see if that does anything. The back of the bottle says it treats 30-95 liters of fuel. This is quite a big margin. How much of the can do you guys normally use on a full tank of gas? I was thinking maybe 1/3 of the bottle?
