The F4 has carburetors and the F4i is Fuel Injected. Two entirely different fuel management systems.

 

Allright, so i have found the cause and the solution to this issue. The cause was all the bodging done to the electricals, the tipover sensor was bypassed, the pink wire was gone and the ecm was flashed to not need the key chip, also a bunch of wires spliced together and some just cut and left to dangle. Rather than just buying a replacement ECM, i bought an ECM, the main cable harness, the HISS antenna, a new ignition switch, tipover sensor. The only electrical piece left from the original bike was the dash. I didn't want to risk what burned out the old ECM, burning out the new one. SO, if this happens to you, replace the ECM and i strongly recommend to search for spliced wires or other ****ty repairs done, or just get a new main wire harness that you know is good.

 

Glad you have it sorted, lesson learnt I suppose t try and keep to as near stock as possible when buying used, esp for these bikes which are a stunters favourite.
Now to get out on the road and give it a blast
