Default F4i Fairing Question

Have any of you tried to remove the F4i decal from your side fairings?

If so, how hard is this to do?

Also, on the gas tank how hard is it to take the stripes off?

Thanks

Some folks on the forum have pulled the decals off their tank, clear coat included. Search the posts, but I believe you can see where the decals were for at least some period of time.

i laid my bike down and it chewed up the right side fairing a bit. the decals were a breeze to take off. but, since it's getting repainted i had to sand the rest off. they were under the clear. so i suppose it depends on whether or not you're going to repaint.

I wouldn't touch the ones on the gas tank unless you have to. All others come off easily just use a hair dryer.

Yeah don't mess with the gas tank decals.....you won't get them off without a lot of work

As for the "F4i decals".....it's part of the stripes on the fairing....hard to explain so hopefully the pictures will:

So the bike looks like this stock:

With the stripes/F4i decal removed:

Or you could buy these from www.replicals.com they remove the "F4i" logo, but you would get the stripes back which match the tank:

I personally think the bike looks good with the stripes on the bike & doesn't look right without them, but to each their own opinion.
