+1 For Jardine I got one on my 2001 and I like it, the faster you go the louder it gets but pretty quite at idle-5000. The best way I can describe it is a muffled D&D.

I've heard the scorpion pipe and thought it sounded GREAT! Also, on a thread somewhere, there was a list of all the manufacturers and they had a sound byte for the dyno test as well as a byte on the road, and I was very impressed with the sound of the Micron (which I got). It is all preference, as has been said before, but I like a lower tone, and Micron achieves that.

as far as d&d exhaust is, blackdog said it right, it's loud. when im cruising at 45-50mph, it makes the bike sound like youre going faster than what your really going. very loud at high idle when warming up too. sounds loud at traffic speed. it's ok for me.

Speaking of Blackdog, when you are on duty, and you hear a loud pipe (wound up), does that perk up your spidey senses? I would imagine loud pipe could be a real dissadvantage when it comes to LEO's that seem to profile sportbike riders (I know you are not among them...obviously).

Got the M4 for mine a few months back at indysuperbikes.com. Love the exhaust and normally indysuperbikes is easy to deal with (and I know them personally).
