Default F4 Carbs on an F4i engine

I would appreciate any feedback on whether or not F4 carbs will bolt on to a F4I engine. It is my understanding and assumption that the motors are the same, yet differ only in the fuel delivery....or, are there engine spec differences? say.....between a 01 or 02 F4 as compared to a 2005 or 2006 F4I. (note - i'm talking engine specs only (no frame or other accy considerations)

My deal is, I want to run carbs instead of EFI, and want the best motor underneath the carbs whether it is an F4 or an F4i engine. All informative info would be appreciated.

Tks

First off you shouldn't have said that, a lot of guys here freak out when people ask about f4i engines in anything but an f4i. Personally i just look for help i can find, and help people when i can. The f4i engine will make more power, it has different cams. You will need an f4 ecu and reluctor wheel. What i did to find parts compatability was to download both manuals and also go to an online parts dealer and compare parts numbers. I also found that many parts with different part numbers are interchangable, namely just about all internals.
