Hello All (Pretty new to the fourm),

I have an '02 F4i and about a week ago when i start the bike, it turns on fine and 10 seconds go by and the F1 light come on. I stays on and doesn't go away until i turn the bike off. It doesn't blink or flash at all.

It comes on about every other time i get on the bike, mostley in the morning. Any idea of what this could be and how to fix this?

I need a new chain and sproket pretty bad, would that have anything to do with this?

 

Pull the code as per the service manual or other code pulling threads. Once you get the code, we can point you in the right direction as to where to look next.
