Hi... just brought a 929, very happy to have it, well the issue i am getting a red light after having it for 2 weeks, when i turn the key to ON, the light goes OFF and comes again after the initial check-up (fuel pump start-up), when i got the bike the owner said i should not start the bike until the red light goes OFF, well i started the bike the red light goes OFF and rides fine, well i saw the oil light as well in the digital board i don't know whether this is related to this as well, when i searched the forum i saw it because of the aftermarket exhaust, well it got a aftermarket D&D carbon fiber exhaust, i don't know whether it's a slip on or full exhaust system, could you please tell me whats that and how to overcome the red light problem, appreciated... thanks

It does that. Turn key on, red light is on. fuel pump and system check are ok, light goes off breifly and comes right back on with the oil symbol (cause there is no oil pressure while not running). Start bike all lights should be off.

hey is it fine to start the bike when the red light is ON after initial checkup or should i start the bike asap between the time red light goes from OFF and ON position or it just doesn't matter, thanks.

 

I just wait till the fuel pump stops making noise before I turn the key all the way on...Never had a problem yet...
