i just bought a rebuilt bike. it has beenredone right. but ijust want to know some things about it.the fairings are 2003 but the title says 1999. it sounds like it has injection (fuel pump in tank). how do i find out what is what. ie. is the engine 99 or is it theframe?

 

The F4 had carbs and the F4i has a throttle body/fuel injection.

 

is there a petcock? easy way to tell if its fuelie or carbed

 

that wont tell if it has a F4i tank on it lol.

biggest diff between a F4 n F4i is the EFI and the upper fairing n gauge cluster. Other than that its the same bike.

 

Or you might have a bike soup.

 

well.. i thought the obvious answer would be there would be a choke on the clutch lever side....

 

or you can just look at your speedo.. the f4i is digital the f4 is a needle..

Also the headlight in the F4 is one piece and the f4ihas two lenses. But show some pictures. Sounds like a stolen 2003 stamped with a cheaper 99 title. If you payed for an f4i you got ripped.
