Default Emergency Lights

I volunteer for an EMS Service and have already responded to a few calls, mainly MVAs on my bike. I have been out riding and my pager was on my belt and started going off. Anyways, a few friends were asking if I was going to put emergency lighting on my bike like my Explorer has. I initially said no, but started thinking maybe I will. Any ideas to mount a set of Whelen Tir3's or Tir6's covertly so they are not seen unless activated??? Also other ideas/opinions are appreciated.

FYI - My service responds with Green lights.

^ good idea. You could also put strobe do dads in place of the stock turn signals?

OK, as I am sure you know the green lights are "courtesy lights" and do not allow you to disregard traffic regulations. (at least is is that way in every state I have been in)

That being said I know I can move through traffic on a bike WAY faster than any car lights or not.

I can tell you that if you put green lights on your bike you are going to look like the biggest dork in the world and fulltime police and firefighters will laugh at you behind your back.

I appreciate the job you guys do, but some of you take it a little too far.

BTW, do you have saddlebags to carry your gear? So what if you show up first and you don't have any medical supplies to stabilize the victim?

Maybe you could get one of the rotating dash lights that Starsky and Hutch use. Just keep it in your ridding jacket. Then when the call comes. Pull it out and slap it on your windscreen. Then flip up you helmet visor and go [sm=happy046.gif]
