ecu reset?
it's in the service manual.. which can be found online in PDF is several locations.. if you don't have it.. find it.. very helpful.
To reset the MIL:
1. Turn ignition off and engine stop switch to run.
2. Short the service connector.
3. Turn ignition on.
4. Remove jumper wire from the service connector.
5. The MIL lights for five seconds. While the light is on short the connector again. If you successfully erase the memory the MIL will turn off and then start blinking.

THANK YOU, now I get to clean up the mess from the deer I hit this morning....
you hit a freakin deer on a motorcycle? I live in Pa so we have plenty of deer hopping out in certain areas.. but.. normally the results aren't so pretty (to the vehicle or animal).
f250 in front of me hit him as he crossed street and then ran him over. I had an 18wheeler next to me and had no where to go, he was laying from line to line in my lane. I grabbed a handful of throttle and basically used his belly as a ramp. was able to keep bike up but completely covered in blood and deer meat. worse experience on bike iv ever had. thought I was going to loose front end after I hit him. did tweak the front it a little but should be able to fix it this weekend. I should have gone back by that after noon and tied a "get well soon" balloon to him LMAO
well thats the best deer story i heard, glad you are ok and not crushed. be sure to check the bearings in your tripple as well.. actually i have no idea what it is, but suspend your bike if you can and wiggle the front end to see if there is play. you dont want any surprise chatter if you brake hard in the future
