Default Do you leave your GPS on your bike?

I'm getting tired of taking my GPS off every time I go in somewhere. Gym, grocery store, school etc. It was only $80 and I'm thinking about super gluing it into my mount that I made. If someone tried to pull it off the alarm would surely go off since I can stomp my feet around the bike on pavement and set it off.

Does anyone else leave there's on?

I drove with mine in my trunk and it fell into the cowl in a way that I can't figure out, and I can't get it out -_-;; It seems impossible that it could have fallen in like that since it can't fit through that space to come back out. I'm gonna have to remove that cowl and it's gonna be a pain in the *** especially if it keeps happening.

PS.
do you need access to your headstock hole ever? because if I glue this I won't be able to remove it from the headstock without destroying my mount.

I may plastidip it yellow to match the bike. People may think it's more built in if I do that and not realize it's something easily stolen/worth stealing.

Could put these on the sides too. I made these labels that I could print out and stick on. Maybe when the alarm goes off they'll believe the rest too lol

Other than theft, it will get destroyed in the sunlight. You would want to cover it, not bring attention to it with yellow stickers.

Why do you need a GPS to get to the gym, school, and store? Do you not know how to get there?

no, I just leave it on so that it doesn't fall into the cowl while I drive -_-;;. Plus I hate the way the mount looks just sitting there with no screen.

Also, sometimes I just ride around aimlessly then just press "Home" and that way I don't have to worry about remembering how I got to where I am. I don't like the anxiety goes along with remembering 27,000 different turns to get back home. I can drive for 3 hours in any given direction and then just press "home" and follow it back for me it's more fun this way, but I have ZERO sense of direction.

You really think the sun will be that bad? What kind of timeline are we talking about here?

The direct sunlight on the screen may ruin it if it sits long enough facing up.
Is your GPS waterproof as well?

nope, but it never seems to get wet when I'm out in the rain lol. I'll throw a plastic bag on it or something if it rains while it's parked outside.

edit: Check this out:
