Default 01-03 Rear Seat Cowl: Making my own. Anyone interested in going in on duplicates?

I called Targa today. They said it would be at least 4 weeks before they get any more unpainted 01-03 F4i seat cowls in, so I decided to make my own. I'm using the rear seat as a mold and initial progress has been promising. I think by the time I'm done, I'll have a seat cowl that's just as good as Targa's. I'll be shaping it to fit OEM plastics so fitment from bike to bike shouldn't be an issue. ANYWAY, I have a friend who works at Extreme Dimensions (body kit manufacturing company) and they can make duplicates of the cowl once I'm done. Only issue is that they would have to destroy the original in order to duplicate it, so I would need to know if anyone wants one of these before I talk to Extreme Dimensions about it.

Can you draft up some figures? I am sure once people had an idea of what they would pay you may have a group buy/a few requests for them, considering how little of them that are available, if any obviously. Even getting them to say make 10 peices Im sure you could always sell them too if the price wasnt that bad. Especially since once they make the mold all it takes is the injection.

See what they want, then see what you can get some for, and what you would need per cover.

I would love to have one to use for when im not going 2 up.

I'll buy one if it's pretty cheap and comes painted. I wanted one but it wouldn't be worth it for me if I had to scavenge that paint and a painter to do it for me. I already have a nice yellow rear seat

I should be finishing the final design today. It's been a lot of work to get to this point. Anyway, I'll put up some pics when I'm done (hopefully tonight) and I'll get some idea of how much it's going to cost to reproduce them in the next few days.
