Default Display on headlights off

2 days ago I was riding with my high beams on and noticed in the reflection in the car in front of me the low beam was off. When i got home and pulled the brake, the low beam flickered but for some reason it was back on. Got up the next morning to start. High beams indicator on and no headlights on at all. It turns over but doesn't start. I don't even hear the pump prime. I just got a job offer today after being out of work for 6 months. So if anyone has any ideas, please chime in.

Probably a bad connection in the switch housing for lights mine had the same problem can clean it with contact cleaner or solder may have come undone. I don't know if the left side switch would make your bike not turn over though.

Did you try to start it in Neutral?? Why don't you try to start it in 1st gear WITH the clutch lever pulled?? I tell you this because a long time ago my bike had the Neutral Sensor damaged and it didnt start unless i pulled the clutch lever, try it...

Well, the wires in the starter side are all connected very wel. I actually resoldered one about a couple weeks ago....ill try the 1st gear thing in a few. But the big question is how do I get the lights to turn on? I read somewhere that it won't start if the low beam isnt grounded. Im gonna re-connect the ballasts for my hids and see if that might work.

The Low beam ground shouldnt be a problem, i've used my bike without the entire front fairing and without the headlight and it works perfectly. i think that you have to check de Tip Over Sensor too...

So I did some more checking around. Found nothing yet. The 1st gear idea did not work. And my tip sensor has already been by passed about a year ago.
I also tried using a thick wire attached to the + and - of the battery and directly connect the low beam light and nothing. I read somewhere that it had to have a ground wire on in order to start it. I also read a ground wire in the sub harness may have fused

Check if the actual bulb or ballast is not working. HIDs die all the time. Switch the low and high beams around and see if there's any change.
