that bracket looks like it installs alongside the throttle linkage arm, and physically stops it at some point. It should be pretty obvious once you get in there.

I just derestricted my bike last night - went without any problems. Thanks to everyone who helped, especially blindweasel (even if you did **** up the width of this page) - I'd write more but I'm going out for a ride.
