Creative exhaust cutting to remove road rash...

Bought the bike with some damage, and I'm slowly making repairs to make it look clean again. I'm sort of stumped at how to cut out this damage (I believe it's Akro's titanium slip on)...

looks like most of the damage is on the cone. which cannot be chopped off. Maybe rotate it 180 so it faces towards the bike, then chop pipe and re-rivet.
