I just recently had a copy of my master key made for my 02 f4i, and it wont work at all. I'm very confused as i got an OEM blank, and the new copy looks exactly like the master key.

 

What do you mean exactly by "won't work?"

 

The new key i had made wont turn the ignition to any of its positions. where the master key can turn all they way through.

 

Bad cut

 

Bring it back the locksmith who cut the key for you. Coincidentally, I had a new key cut today at a local locksmith with the Ilco brand HD109 blank key. I'll be leaving work shortly to try it out for the first time, the cutter said to simply bring it back if it didn't function.

 

The new key works. See if your locksmith will exchange for a new blank and cut it correctly.
