Default Engine Oil Type

Hey Guys!
I was curious to see what you guys are using for engine oil for a commuter CBR F4i.
I am trying to do away with OEM oil I keep buying at Honda dealer which is non-synthetic type.
I have been buying my filter's at NAPA auto store significantly cheaper than dealer prices. As for oil, they recommended AmSoil Full Synthethic, if I remember right, but it was very expensive.
Has anybody done a deep dive research on Honda oil specs and found an over the counter oil from Walmart or an auto store? Organic or Synthetic doesn't matter.
I'd appreciate your feedback & experience guys!
Thanks!

in short: napa have great filters. Shell Rotella motor oil is a popular cheap solution ( LINK HERE). Their full synthetic is relatively cheaper than everyone else. Although Full Syn is recommended, because it is able to maintain viscosity better under extreme temperatures, it has been yet proven to extend the life of your engine. The consensus is that either type of oil will go all the way as long as you regularly change your oil.

but as mentioned above. more detailed discussions have been posted already. Search button ftw.

I just put FUCHS Synthetic Comp 10W40 in my f4i, probably dont worry about synthetic and run a semi synthetic. If you dont mind the extra few dollars run synthetic.

I use Honda oil and a Honda Filter.

that being said K&N makes a filter that's really easy to take on and off.

I think I'm going to go to Repsol oil soon though
