Default I can't pull my key out

I just picked up my new-to-me 03 600RR tonight from the dealership. The key was already in the ignintion when I picked it up. It seems no matter what I try, the key won't come out. I can turn it every direction, I can push and turn to lock the steering, I can start it, etc. The key turns really smooth but it just won't come out. I hate to leave it in the garage with the key in it HELP!

Well I feel some stupid... After about 20 minutes of giggling and wiggling and trying to figure out what the hell I was doing, I pulled really hard and POP out it came Maybe the key was recently cut or something.

A little bit of graphite on it might help as well.

My brand new one almost did the same thing. Couldn't get it out when I was going to work. I was sitting there forever pulling on it. When I got home, I sprayed some chain-wax on the key, and slid it in and out of the ignition several times. Hasn't done it since.

+1 , for anyone else that puts some miles on in the rain keep the lock cylindar for the ignition and trunk lubricated well.I had my key get stuck in the trunk lock afterI got pulled over and the cop got pissed. At first he wanted to impound my bike because he thought I ridin dirty and wasn't "cooperating." So after me pleading like alittle girlnot to impound my ride he wrote me a fist full o' tickets. Mental note keep the cylinders lubricated.
