coolant leak need help

Default coolant leak need help

ok i have noticed the past few times after i have quit riding and i go back to my bike a short time after and i have a little bit of coolant on the ground under my bike...i looked up on another thread and ppl say if you have to much in, it will leak out the overflow, my leak is coming from the hose but, the coolant is not full its on the low line but its still comeing out the overflow hose? any suggestions? thank you.

your bike is overheating? is the fan turning on? let it idle until it turns on and then if it doesn't check the fuse. when was the last time you changed the fluid, and was the proper ratio used? check temp sensor also.

I could be wrong on this one, but I believe when the bike starts to cool down it will move fluid around a little bit. I can't remember which way it goes though. I believe that it will put fluid back into the reservoir. If it's over-filled, it will probablys pill a little bit when it does that.

would the clamp that could be lose is that on the bottom of the resevoire?

and also i was gonna change the coolant cuz i just got it and i dont know when it was last done, im new so what coolant do you guys recommend?

Just go over all your coolant clamps with a wrench to make sure they are all good and snug, don't kill it though...
As for coolent, review your owners manual forwhat isrecomended. I can't remember off the top of my head for sure but I think it's 50/50 mixture of water to antifreeze.
