Default contemplating f4i

i currently own a f2 but i want to upgrade to a Fi bike.. never been a big fan of carbs but i have a couple questions before i do..

whats the pros and cons of this bike? any thing major that could become a problem or thats common on it?
what would you pay for a used one?..
any difference in tires or handling in this bike compared to the f4 or rr?
any other help that could be of use would be appreciated too.
Thanks

They are tanks, plain and simple. They are great bikes for whatever you want to do. The cct is the only thing that goes bad. they can range from the low 2's for a heavily used, layed down bike, cosmetic damage but the engine is good. If its a stunt bike then a little over a 1500 is all i would pay for unknown use and a disabled the tip over sensor. a nice condition up to 4500 for the newest one. The rr is just more tweaked with performance but its mostly in the rider, unless your a pro.

yea same as mechanic stated, theyre pretty much invincible.
the only common problem is CCTL, which as far as ive read doesnt cause mech. damage, its just annoying. i just changed mine last week, wasnt that bad i just didnt have the proper tools. you need to be able to get fairing and tank off, then you have to have a 5mm allen socket, angle socket, that fit a 1/4 in drive. 3/8 drive is too big.

the only thing i would disagre with mechanic with is $4500 seems a little high, i probably wouldnt go above $3500, unless its just an amazing deal, brand new with new tires, etc. but thats also here in indiana, prices are probably higher in other places

Up in Canada the price of bikes is way up there even though you can only ride them 7 months of the year.
But I looked today and a 2006 F4i with 15km on it had an asking price of $7500. I bought mine for $4300 never laid down and 17km (10.6k miles)
and thats was a steal.
But on average these bikes go for $5000-5500 and $4000's if it has damage

Ya it depends on the area on how much bikes go for. I sold my 1994 F2 for 2500 bucks around here. I picked my F4i up for 3000 but it wasn't that pretty. I had to fix it up. Typically a decent one around here will go for 3,500. If you want something nice around 4,500 to 5,000

The cct just makes a bad noise like a can of bb's its just annoying but doesn't cause any damage, i just fixed mine a couple weeks ago with a manually adjustable one so I shouldn't have any more problems plus you can get them in colors which is kinda cool. I have an 02 and as far as gas mileage goes its usually the mid 50's i think. Absolutely love the bike!!!!
