Yes.

Sometimes looking at a photo in any manual will have you scratching your head going WTF?!? But a pic of the same engine area from a different perspective will clear things up

Absolutely! The haynes/clymer/chilton manuals bring real world procedure alternatives to the table. I actually buy them all, and cross-reference them against each other. It helps me, reading 2-3 different descriptions of the job. It doesn't hurt as a safe guard against mis-prints as well.
