cluth?

Default cluth?

hey guys , i ran my bike at the drag strip this weekend i on my way home i go to give it some gas and it was fine til about 7K and then the RPM's start going up but bike goes nowhere, the shop is not open on Mondays and i was wondering how much a clutch is going to cost me, i know they are about 100 dollars on ebay but what do u guys think the total cost on something like this is going to be?

lean the bike over on it's left side as far as you can while sitting on it. While the bike is idling pull the clutch lever in and out 10 to 15 times. This washes loose friction material from the clutch disks and will tell you if you really need a clutch

Get a bernetts clutch in carbon. get the whole kit and put the stiff springs in. there about $150-$180

Don't get a Barnett, they don't last for crap. I had one and it lasted only one summer. Go with an OEM. Honda engineers spent alot of time and work to design the best performance clutch. I had a barnett and burned it up and went back to OEM, and still riding on the OEM. All you need for a new clutch is the friction plates, you can use your old metal plates and springs. Be sure u soak the new ones in oil before you put them in.

is your clutch cable adjusted properly?
