Default Clock restarting

so just a little back history, the diode in my ignition went out and had it replaced it was installed the correct way and all that good stuff ignition works fine until i pull the key out and the clock restarts. The clock worked great until this diode went out. Not sure whats going on any ideas of were to start looking or something that is a common acurance around here.

When I first bought my '02 F4i, I had the same issue... all of the electronics would work perfectly, bike would start fine, no issues... but the trip ODO and the clock would reset every time I turned off the key.

I traced it back to a fuse under the seat for the constant power (fuse was actually removed by the previous owner due to the bike sitting over the winter), and I installed a new fuse and everything works! Check the fuse box and see if it is still good!
