I changed the plugs yesterday, when I changed out the throttle body. The bike is my only current mode of transportation, and that's what is making it so hard. I have to constantly rely on friends, to give me a ride. I'm a security guard, so my hours are crazy, and finding a ride isn't easy. I'm sure after it's fixed, i'll be happy. But, the question is when??

just tryin to help, but can it be the fuel pump? if there was rust in the tank, maybe it clogged up the fuel pump?, a fuel line? a fuel filter??

My bike had similar symptoms and would also take a while to return to idle after bliping the throttle.
Turns out a small tube was hangin from the MAP sensor.

But I had flashing lights on the MIL so it was easily resolved.
You might wanna check that out.

alright buddy.. my buddy had the EXACT same problem on his 02 gixxer 750.. FUEL PUMP!!!

do a fuel pressure test and tell me what you get.. and having rust in the tank means you need to replace the tank.. i dont know if you have done that or not..

i dont know how much a tank would be but im sure you could find the tank with the fuel pump still in it off ebay..

good luck man.. dont give up!

hey i was thinking about something? i dont know if this works, even on cars also...but is there something like Fuel Injector Cleaner (liquid) that is like a fuel additive to add in your gasoline that could clean out your injectors for bikes? i mean if the honda tech sed that the injector 2 was out then you mite wanna start there. cuz if that's the case then it's not the plugs... it's the actual injector then it could be dirty, clogged, or even damaged over time due to wear and tear. i've had this thing happen on one of my old cars. the plugs just ignite the fuel sprayed into the chamber by the injector. just from my experience, that's my take on it... other wise there's alot of trial and error things you can do and it sux that you aren't even getting a code or anything on the MIL. good luck on this my friend... and keep us all updated!!!

Ok, here's another update. Since I had rust in my tank, I purchased another rustless tank, and changed it out. The bike runs pretty good now. I'm going to make another thread, for my newest problem.
