Default Changing battery

at the possibility of sounding like a dumb a$$, I tried changing my battery over the weekend and I can't get the f*cker out!. I disconnected the neg then the pos terminals, but after that, the thing seemed stuck inside the tray. I checked the service manual, and that thing doesn't say jack about the battery being bolted in or anything. can someone please help, and as always thanks in advance and sorry to waste your time with stupid questions.

On some bikes the battery box has a hole in the bottom so you can push the battery up with a finger. Of course mine doesn't. Me 0, Murphy 1.

When you put the new one in put a nylon strap underneath it so you can pull it out easier next time.

Just flip the bike upside down, let gravity do the work.

he he he he

Yeah, I know those batteries can be a PITA to get out. Just don't drop the washers in the battery box while you're installing the new one or you'll have to go through it again. How do I know that?

There is a hole in the bottom of the battery case. Reach under and push up on the battery until you can grab it with your other hand.

LOL...Glad to see i'm not the only one who learned from that one. No hole in the bottom of my tray. I did what someguy#2 posted...put a strap/rope around the battery.
