Default Chain is chewing up the swing arm

just had my rear tire replaced 2 months ago and it ran fine.
a few weeks ago i noticed a small scratching noise.
now its a very loud grinding.
i inspected and found that the chain is digging into the swingarm causing the noise.
anyone ever have this happen to them?
all help is appreciated.
thanks

Sounds like your chain is way too lose. It should not have enough slack to rip into your swing arm. I would get that fixed asap.

Ouch, this is not good.

There should be a plastic\rubber guard bracket (I think it also serves as a guider) on both sides of the swing arm (the top and bottom of the left side), right where the front sprocket is.
If the piece is missing, then it's bad... plus check the slack as R Dub mentioned.
