Can anyone confirm that the latest revision and OEM updated CCTL has 2 green dots and is part # 14520-MBW-J23 and the gasket 14523-MAL-A00? With so many revisions I just want to make sure I get the latest and not another failing old stock one. Thanks!

I dont think the ticking is the chain hitting anything, cuz it happens even at idle and on rare occassions continues for a second or 2 after i shut off the engine, both of which, the chain is not moving...could it maybe something rattling around in my exhaust, like a pebble or something?

Thanks Mitch- So now another revision!? I was told by a honda tech this morning that regarding revisions, the part numbers should stay the same but Honda will just put out a new revised piece without changing the part number? Wheres the best place to get the J24? Link would help. Thanks!

Thanks Mitch. Maybe thats what the tech at honda was telling me this a.m. He was saying that the part # was a J23 but the latest revision is what Honda will send him. They just havent changed the part #. So when I order the J23, how do/will I know I got the latest revision J24? Is there anyway of knowing? (i.e 3 blue dots instead of 2 or is it labeled someplace?)

I just installed the J24 version (2 blue dots) about 2000km's ago and it's already acting up. I called my dealer and they will replace it for me under warranty. I hope the next one lasts longer. Maybe it's another issue?

This does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling

Does the J24 version come in other colors?
