i had mine installed at the local shop for 100 bucks, that seemed really low cause alot of people i had talked to spent anywhere up to 200 bucks, so i would have to say anywhere between 0-120 would be a reasonable price. Also by installing the manual APE CCT on your bike you do void any warranties on the motor. I dont have a warranty on my bike anymore so it didnt matter much to me, but just as a heads up.

they have to prove that the part you installed caused whatever that brakes. so if your do the ape cctl and your rear wheel bearing goes, they can't attribute that to the cctl.
IMO, stick with the stocker and swap it out ever so often when it's bad. only thing bad about it is the noise.
as far as tightening the manual, much more damage can be done if overtightened!!
