Default Cbr600f6 seat problem

My seat will not fit properly. The lug underneath at the front of the seat will not slide under the tank bracket. I've no idea when or how this has happened. Has this happened to anyone else? How can I tell what has caused this problem and how can I fix it. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum, can you show us some pics of your problem. Sometime if the lugs at the rear are misaligned (seat not straight) then the seat will not slip under the lug.

Just found a post from 2009 with (hopefully) a solution from Apex25, NYC. I held the seat lug down with a screwdriver and pushed the seat forward so now it's fitted properly. As suggested I'll leave it for a few days and the plastic lug should reshape....fingers crossed.

Had this issue on mine. If it doesn’t go under the mount closest to the gas tank you will need to heat the bottom of the seat and adjust the tab in the plastic.

I used my map gas torch and lightly and quickly as not to burn the plastic or foam then pulled it back and held it there until it cooled.
From what I gathered is the seat never was installed correctly then the weight of my kid riding bent it just enough to bend
