Default Passenger Seat

I recently bought a passerger seat and the assembly for it. however after I attached all the pieces when I went to attach the seat it doesn't go down far enough to catch on the latch. I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and if so what was your solution. Or if anybody may have an idea of what to do so that it will catch on the latch and not come off while riding?

The little feet on the bottom of the seat are supposed to sit on the crossbar that holds the latch assembly. I didn't think it could be adjusted as it's part of the subframe.

do you think that I could possibly shave down the feet on the under side of the seat until i can get the latch to catch??

When I first got my bike, the seat wouldn't latch just by pushing down on it. I had to push down while turning the key. I found out it was just because my latch mechanism was loose. Possibly the problem here?

yea look at the latch and make sure it's completely closed... it could be that the latch is partially opened and therefore won't hold the seat down...

if you have an aftermarket tail it might be ziptied and you might have to cut them and reziptie... that's how mine was so i don't know what a stock one looks like
