Default Cbr600f4i with 400 miles been sitting for 18 years

Hi yall, i am trading my c5 corvette for a 400 mile cbr600f4i, the tank is mildly rusted (mostly surface). I plan on cleaning and sealing the tank. It has been sitting for 18 years but the current (2nd) owner has been dailying it for the past few months and says it runs great (hopefully). Plan on changing out plugs and injectors and if needed some hoses. Is they’re anything i should check for or replace when looking at it. I cant check wheel bearings as i dont have a way of keeping it lifted. Please give me any knowledge you guys might have. Thanks yall

My main worry is the crank seals, it has been sitting since 2006 and was only driven probably for a month and sat. Current owner has had it for a month and uses it as a daily and has put 200 miles on it. I know the fuel system is definitely not good and i dont believe the guy when he says its running good cause with rust in the tank i doubt it. But i dont know how much i should worry about the seals if its quite a bit i probably wont bother trading because hes putting its value at 5-6k

Change the tires, oil, coolant and brake fluid unless you are SURE they have been done recently, grease the chain and you should be good.

Maybe also change the brake pads - they will be original and tend to separate from the backing after a decade or so.

Thanks for the response, should i be worried about any of the seals disintegrating, the guy said he changed the oil and it was clean as ever and hes been riding everyday since then. Im worried i have to fix fork seals and having the crank seals go out a year into riding it.

He's been riding "every day" for the last "few months" and only done 480 miles?

Anything could break, any time - if you're worried, buy something new with a warranty? That honda could go for the next 50 years just needing tires, pads and oil.

I would say the crank seals should be good. The fork seals, 50/50 on that. There’s always something to do on a bike. I would do the things mentioned above and start enjoying the bike. A maintenance need will raise its head sooner or later anyway.

My 06 model was also kept in barn for few years.
There shouldn't be much to go wrong with the bike if properly stored and no sub-freezing temperature.
I can think of most rubber parts like brake lines, tires, seals might be dry-rotted.
I doubt the spark plugs or injectors needs to be changed if they have not even been used for that low mileage.
Fuel pump & filter may be rusted, that maybe the first item to check, but if you've been riding it daily without issues, maybe they are just fine, too.
IME, Honda motorcycles from that era can sit for long time without care and still be ridden, that's why I own so many of them.
