CBR 600 F4i smog block off plates/clean air mod
sooo, i got some driven smog block off plates, and im fairly sure i need to remove the screw out of the reed valves so i can use it as a gasket..
considering the screw would not unscrew, i completely destroyed the reed.
here's a picture, that screw is still holding up strong,
should i even bother ordering a replacement or just find some sort of block off plate with o-rings, also does anyone know if i rip the whole pair valve (aka air injection control valve) out if it will trip the FI sensor? and if i can wire it to not trip it?
also does anyone know what the third hose does that plugs into the front of the airbox from the valve cover?

Pull everything out of the valve cover and use silicone to make your own gasket. No need for o-ring. I used hondabond. The fi light will not ce on with this mod. Plug off all hoses going to the air box that are related to the pair emissions system. For the hose that comes off the side of the valve cover that used to go to air box, I used a small filter to cap it off so the vent is still functional, but to avoid the warm air going to the air box

cool so i guess the two hoses on the exhaust side are routing filtered air into the exhaust, and the hose on the intake side is putting hot air into the non filtered part of the airbox.
thanks, i picked up some hondabond so i'll yank the cage / basket and reed valves and just get the edges good.
i guess i'll zip tie the plug somewhere in or possibly yank it from the harness where it seperates.
if anyone is wondering i am using the driven smog block off plates which is 2 plates and 1 plug. one will need to get a stopper or something to prevent warm air.
you are welcome google searchers.
