hwo do i know if mien is bad... can ayone describe the sound the bike makes...

 

I heard it was a real loud tapping sound like a screwdriver on the gas tank

 

yea i have been wondering about mine also. I only have about 2700 miles on my bike but, for some reason around 5,000 rpm there is this clicking sound. Im not sure on whether its the valves, or if my cam tensioner is starting to go. I had bought my bike used, and am unsure on how the person before me treated the bike, so what can cause the cam tensioners to go? thanks

 

i just dropped my biek off to have it looked at and he said the noise you hear to see if its the cam tensioner is after you rev it.. so rev it and as it comes back down you should hear the noise... thought you would like to know
